Industry-wide Price Hikes Driven by Cost Pressures
1. Kingboard Laminates: 5%-10% Price Increase Across All Product Lines
On December 1, 2025, Kingboard Laminates, a giant in the copper clad laminate (CCL) industry, issued a price adjustment notice. Affected by cost pressures stemming from high copper prices and tight supply of glass cloth, the company raised the prices of its CEM-1/22F/V0/HB products by 5%, and FR-4 and PP products by 10% with immediate effect. Driven by this news, its Hong Kong-listed shares (Stock Code: 01888) rose by 5.39% on the same day, and climbed by over 4% again on December 8.
2. Nan Ya Plastics: Took the Lead with an 8% Price Hike in November
Earlier in November 2025, Taiwan-based Nan Ya Plastics had released a notice stating that due to the collective price increases of raw materials such as LME copper prices, copper foil processing fees and electronic-grade glass cloth, it would uniformly raise the prices of all CCL product lines and PP prepregs by 8% starting from November 20.
Dongguan Securities pointed out that raw material prices are still running at a high level, and the capacity utilization rate of downstream PCB manufacturers remains robust. Against this backdrop, the price adjustment trend of CCLs is expected to continue further.
